The leaves are turning around here....as I'm sure they are doing everywhere on the Northern Hemisphere. As I was walking home from the Post Office, I couldn't help but love this shot....I loved the sun poking through the leaves!
This pine tree is in our front yard. I frankly think it's ugly and needs to come down (to be replaced by a lovely tree), but regardless, I didn't know that needles would change color too....and make a mess of the yard! But, it's kinda cool....looks almost camouflage!
We have a walnut tree in our backyard. It's been dropping walnuts for a few days now, making it sound like squirrels are throwing baseballs at our house!
Here's a close up of the patio....the whole yard looks like this! Makes the walk to the garage quite treacherous on the ankles!
I was in Iowa City the other day, near the Old Capital Building and the sky was just gorgeous....well, it's nearly always gorgeous, in my opinion! Or maybe there's just so much of it, I can't help but notice the broad expanse before me each day. :)
The trees are supposed to be in the peek colors this weekend, so we are planning on taking a day trip up the Mississippi. Hooray for a husband who likes an adventure! :)
