I've decided to join the blog world. Never thought I would do it, but living miles from those I love and wanting to share my life here in Iowa with you has made me want to write things down. Plus, after seeing how many millions of photos I have taken over the years, I think having a blog is a great way to write down memories and archive family pictures....without piling photo albums up high!
Why "White Sheep Chronicles"? Well, when you start to think about blogging, the first question seems to be "what am I going to call it?" Dave was showing me how to make a post and he wrote, "bah, bah, black sheep, have you any blogs".....he's a funny guy! But, it made the title "click" for me. I've always called myself the "white sheep" of the family. The "black sheep" is often used in referring to a family member who has gone astray. I never went astray....but I have always felt different and was brave enough to venture out on my own, so I have often referred to myself as the "white sheep" of the family. I also like sheep and shepherding, but that's a whole 'nother story for some other time. So, welcome....to my story, to the White Sheep Chronicles.
