Home {outside and porch}

We've lived here for 6 months....time sure flies! But, this whole time has been spent working on the inside of the house....the outside will have to wait until next year. :)

I don't have much of a vision what to do with landscaping, etc....I'm hoping that comes to me in the dreary winter months ahead! The deck on the far left is the door we mainly use....we enter into the very bright and sunny porch. :)

Now, I have been horrible at taking "before" shots of things around here....but picture this as bare plywood walls and old "outdoor" carpet on the floors. For the first several months while we were working on everything else, this was really just the "trash" room. I was so excited to give it a make-over!! :)

The wood walls took many, many coats of paint, and I was thrilled to move onto the floor. I laid down gray cement pain and then stenciled the white on top. I was so pleased how it turned out! 

Next came the furniture. This was all natural brown color....I pulled out my trusted paint sprayer and got to work! I now think either making a built-in sofa or a porch swing is what I eventually want here. :)

 

From the porch, we enter into the kitchen. I did take some before shots.....I'll start a new post for that one! :)
